Why does Foster Care even matter?

·         67% of those in human sex trafficking come from foster care

o   Over 100,000 children today in the US are involved in commercial sexual exploitation

·        72 % of those incarcerated were once in foster care

·         To transform society we can make a huge impact by taking care of those who are considered by many to be “throwaway” children

·         The  first institution created was the family, our hearts long for the unconditional love a family can bring

·         We can be the hope the world longs for by modeling the love of Christ right in our own home.

In this interview with Pastor Mark Batterson, New York Times Bestselling Author & Lead Pastor of National Community Church, we discuss his new book "If"

That tiny two-letter word is the hinge on the door of possibilities. Some of us are stuck in if only, living lives marked by regret. But God can turn your if only regrets into a what if attitude, a faith that looks forward to the future with holy confidence. There are 1,784 ifs in the Bible. The most significant? “If God is for us, who can be against us?” It’s the game changer! God is always on our side—every day, in every way. - See more at: http://www.markbatterson.com/#sthash.xw7aUOrN.dpuf

Justin Wren has spent much of his life fighting – from a stellar early wrestling career as National Champion to becoming a star UFC fighter. In his book, “Fight for the Forgotten,” Wren shares how God shifted his focus from fighting against opponents in the cage to fighting for the “most bullied people in the world,” the Mbuti Pygmies in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Justin is known for his successful mixed martial arts career in the UFC. Early in his career, he appeared on the Spike reality show, “The Ultimate Fighter,” cementing his reputation as a dominating force in the heavyweight division. His current record of 14-2 remains an impressive testament to his skill.

God has a great plan for all of our lives and the main part of that is to be an overcomer, to walk in victory and not in defeat and discouragement and He has provided us the resource to be just that. Through power of God's Grace, His ability working in us and through us, we can march through anything...If we will believe..It may not be easy and usually isn't, but it is worth it to keep on the road to victory and to come out of the battle..An Overcomer.
Hope you enjoy these teaching and please share with others.
