Powerful interview with Kyle...I tell you the truth, I have read many of books in my time of 30 plus years in the ministry and this one truly is one of the best. You need this in your library. You need to take the journey and unlock these doors and truths to bring you into the overcoming life that God has for all of us. Why do you think God would go through all he did in sending his son, seeing the beating he took, the blood that was shed? We are made more than conquerors.

Men have an identity issue! Often, Hollywood depicts us as self-centered couch potatoes who are always looking to party, act like adolescents and play video games. Shirking all of our responsibilities along the way.
One example of this lack of respect for fatherhood may be best illustrated by a recent survey of holiday church attendance. At the bottom of the list with Independence Day was, you guessed it, Father’s Day. As a matter of fact, MOST people no longer can even tell you when Father’s Day is! Why has this once welcomed day to honor fathers become little more than a footnote to church attendance or the evening news?
Despite the fact many of us have fallen for that misrepresentation, there are many good men who are great dads who have embraced the God-given role of fatherhood and are making an impact in the lives of their children and helping them to build and live successful lives.
Conversely, the one common denominator of many of society’s ills—pornography, human trafficking, abortion, rape, murder, alcoholism, teen suicide, and incarceration—can be traced to absentee fathers.
From these statistics, it is easy to see that men who have abdicated their roles as fathers is the single greatest problem in society today. Dads need to step up to assume their rightful roles as leaders of the family. Our kids are looking at us, and studying us, to see if we are really going to protect them, lead them, and love them.
We need to once again make it cool to honor those men who have stood up to be great dads, grand-dads or mentors.
The truth is our kids want to, or at least yearn to, stand up and shout, “That’s my dad!”

Serve & Protect is dedicated to the HOMELAND HEROES who serve or have served in Law Enforcement, as a Firefighter, EMT, or Corrections Officer. The dedication and sacrifice of these brave men and women who keep the homeland safe is unsurpassed by any profession.
Serve & Protect is also dedicated to Drew Grant, my partner with Norfolk Police, on patrol and as a Detective, and to his father, Chief Charles Grant, both of whom epitomized the integrity, grit, and professionalism exemplary of a role model for all who serve. Drew was used by God as a change agent in my own life, and apart from his friendship and challenge, I would not have followed the path that led me to found Serve & Protect.

A wonderful briefing from the Director of Media and Public Relations of The Voice of the Martyrs,
who shared with us about:
Iranian Christian family who had an amazing testimony of God’s work in their lives. The father spent more than three years in prison; the mother and oldest son were also arrested.
American Christian worker who has been in Turkey for 15 years, and now the Turkish government is trying to kick him out. He currently has several court cases going on against him, and he talked about how God has used President Erdogan, even though he is a Muslim and moving Turkey in a more Muslim direction, to put in place some religious freedom protections that are now helping Christians.
A pastor who talked about how the church is growing. “It’s becoming normal now to have Muslim people in our service,” he said. They are hungry. He also said that when authorities tell him that he can’t baptize Muslims, he says, “I NEVER baptize Muslims! I only baptize people who have become Christians!”
A pastor who VOM is partnering with and who is reaching out to refugees from Iraq and Syria. What an amazing work God is doing among these people! This pastor and his church members go and take food and clothing and other aid. And they tell the people that they want to pray for them in Jesus’ name. He said almost NEVER has anyone refused the prayer or become hostile toward them.

The Weapon of Prayer: Maximize Your Greatest Strategy Against the Enemy
Whenever the Bible referenced a satanic attack, Jesus countered it with prayer. Of course, as the Son of God, He had a wealth of ammunition to fight off His adversary. There were many instances where Jesus could have easily enlisted the help of angels, but He knew that prayer was enough!
All too often we look elsewhere when prayer is a potent and ready weapon against all danger. This weapon will give you access to God’s entire storehouse while making you a victorious warrior.

Although total depravity does not mean that all men will display evil to the fullest extent possible, or that one man may never be good relative to another, or “in the right” when it comes to a particular situation; yet it does mean that no man can ever do anything whatsoever that is completely acceptable in the sight of God. The very best acts of fallen man are tainted and imperfect, and thus loathsome before the altogether holy God of creation. Basically, the doctrine of total depravity, in a calvinistic soteriology, intends two things: first, that no act of man is ultimately good or perfectly acceptable to God; and second, that man is so corrupted by sin, that he is utterly unable to contribute anything to his regeneration, even the simplest act of seeking God, believing in him, or coming to him.
